Organic food has been produced to standards designed to keep the production more 'natural'. Fewer, if any, chemicals are used and most pesticides are banned - when they are used they are very carefully controlled. They are grown without the use of conventional pesticides and artificial fertilizers. Similarly, livestock are reared without the routine use of antibiotics and without the use of growth hormones.
Organic foods are not covered in dangerous chemicals. Trust your instincts, and buy organic food! Independent reports suggest that organic produce can contain upto 50% more vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other micronutrients than non-organic foods. That has to be to good for you :-)
Buying online organic foods such as organic vegetables, fruits and meat is one way of avoiding genetically modified (GM) food. And by buying online organic food, you are promoting organic farms and dairies. Non-organically reared farm animals may have been fed a dangerous cocktail of growth promoting drugs and many other medicines on a daily basis. And guess where these end up - inside US, which could lead to serious illness.
There has never been a reported case of BSE in organic cattle in the UK. Common sense says that organic foods are safe. Organic foods taste much better, are healthier then the non-organic foods. You will find the meat to be tastier, fruits to be juicy and vegetables with more flavors. And to this the fact that they have more vitamins, nutrients and minerals - you just can't go wrong with organic foods.
Some reports suggest that Online Organic Foods are more expensive than intensively farmed foods - but is that really true? Think about the money we spend every year cleaning up the mess that agro-chemicals make, cleaning the land, soil and water. Add to that the money spent on health due to effects of non-organic foods and suddenly we realize that non-organic foods cost just as much if not more. Organic produce may cost more in the short term but over long term they are more cost-effective and beneficial to health.
